Review of High-Rise (2015) by Ian T — 21 Mar 2016
I enjoyed the first 45minutes or so of this. There's a lot of really good things about it. The atmosphere, the design are all really good. However at some point there was arty montage and the film stopped making much sense.
The frustrating thing was I was trying to unravel it and eventually I thought: No, this just doesn't make sense. From what I know of the novel, there are some interesting ideas in there but if the film was trying to convey these, it failed.
