Review of High-Rise (2015) by Patrick K — 01 Apr 2016
Here we have a film thats set in a dystopian high rise in where the floor you live on is kind of that social ladder that used to be a big thing decades ago. Robert Laing (Tom Hiddlestone) is pretty much in the middle floor of the high rise demonstrating his middle class status.
The film is very arthouse in style and it was structured really well as the upper class and lower class engage in a war to try and change their social standing. In a world filled with fun blockbuster films and brilliantly written stories this film is a nice change from the norm.
