Review of High-Rise (2015) by Nicolas I — 22 Aug 2016
Hiddleston strikes again! In this dystopian parable mined from J.G. Ballard's novel, there is no skinny white girl to save the day, rather the chaotic and savage nature of class warfare comes to the front.
A timely topic, underlined by some arresting visuals, even if the narrative isn't always strong enough. Compelling viewing experience with some powerful performance.
