Review of High Fidelity (2000) by Stephen L — 01 Dec 2012
The music nerd in me likes the record store scenes more than the rest of the movie. Jack Black's manic music snob is a great character as is Tim Robbins' hippie/yuppie. Cusack comes across as a little whiny and as a sad sack but this does fit the story of girl dumps boy, boy tries to get her back, boy does soul-searching, which is interesting enough to hold the movie together even if it's one that's been done before.
