Review of Hidden Figures (2016) by Borhan K — 24 Feb 2017
Hidden Figures has to be one of the top movies already of 2017. It talks about more than one type of hidden figures in this movie. It talks about firstly the obvious the mathematical issues that NASA had to try and figure out how to take a man to orbit the earth in space and then the challenge of bringing him back in one piece. Hidden figures was based on a true story about three African-American women that were behind the scenes and how they changed the space race.
This was another race movie again showing us the divide that America still has to this day.
The movie has a stellar cast starting with Taraji P Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper).
I have to stop here because Jim Parson's role was a bad guy a rude and racist guy because he was inferior to the smarts of Katherine Johnson.
This though changed and Sheldon as always has to learn the hard way.
The final notable actor is The Bodyguard himself Kevin Costner and he played a pivotal role he was the man in charge at NASA for the project and he assisted the black woman have a voice and this was a massive step in the right direction to show that although the country was divided and although many NASA employees did not share his views when you work at NASA there is no division.
This is suitable for all may seem boring for younger generations but totally worth all watching this movie. Top Shelf all around.
