Review of Hesher (2010) by Sean G — 02 Nov 2011
I'm not sure I understand a lot of the negative reaction from this film. I chock it down to Hesher's boisterousness, crudeness and his slightly psychopathic nature. I usually can't sit through too much idiocy or any movie populate with general "losers". But you know from the start that there's more to Hesher than these traits which are always portrayed humorously, so you never have to take them too seriously.
I think all the characters in this movie were well thought out and very well-developed. You are always left watching the engaging characters from a perspective that includes the development of the entire movie.
And Gordon Levitt is a brilliant, underrated actor.
