Review of Hesher (2010) by Facebook U — 24 Sep 2014
I think this movie is extremely underrated. If you look past some of the dark comedy, you can feel how sad the tone of the movie actually is, and you can also notice how perfectly Levitt played his character. He always knew what to say when and it was amazing. ***Spoiler Alert***.
After the scene where both the father and son throw their plates, Hesher thinks for a second before complimenting the food. This scene struck me, because even the low-life that Hesher is he knew he had to try to cheer up the grandmother. He said the only thing that made sense at the time, and she instantly brightened up. That scene made this movie my favorite movie of all time, and it pains me to see such a low score here.
