Review of Herø (2001) by Robert G — 16 Oct 2014
This is one heck of a weird movie. When you think about it, the movie asks some interesting questions about technology and how far is too far when it comes to the subject. There there is the "self awareness" of the computer OS aka "Samantha".
As far as the casting goes the director mad nothing short of perfect decisions Joaquin Phoenix did a spectacular job. The movie is wonderfully written as well, it is easy to see why the movie ended up winning the Best Original Screenplay Oscar.
Not going to lie, when I first heard about this story it was kind of a head scratcher like "umm... okay, why?" making this movie took guts and I am glad it was done. I highly recommend the movie, just go in with a open mind and you will be pleased.
at least I was.
