Review of The Duel (2016) by Robert G — 13 Sep 2016

This is a movie that rips off parts of Cormac McCarthy's book, "Blood Meridian." It's basis is one of evil of unknown origin that encompasses the west. This could have been the greatest western of all time if it had followed the book.

The story is so compelling that just a hint of it was enough to save the movie. The actors were good except Alice Braga who was unconvincing and stiff. It is not her fault as she was given nothing to work with.

Woody, however, makes the movie watchable, but his role is undeniably unsustainable.
