I'm not sure why the critics and viewers alike seemed disappointed in this movie. I found it to be very moving and captivating. What other mysterious issue concerns us all the way that death does? Several stories from around the world come together in this artfully directed film by Clint Eastwood.
It addresses the question of what happens to us when we die, but mostly dwells upon the lives of those effected by death. It wasn't cheesy or super depressing. There are moments of sadness, but overall I'd say it's more of a quiet, poignant film.
