Hereafter focuses on the taboo topic of death. However, following my viewing, personally, the movie is more about loneliness than death, something that I have always feared in my life as well. All three protagonists suffer from the fear of being alone, and it is precisely due to this reason that they became obsessed with death, as it is the only remaining thing they could lose, their own life.

In the end, George is able to be emancipated from his visions because he is finally able to dream about life with another character. There is nothing scientific about death. Why fret over such inevitability when you have a whole life to look forward to? An extremely personal movie that is able to stir my inner feelings.

My favourite Clint Eastwood film thus far.
