Review of Hello, My Name Is Doris (2015) by Lenard W — 09 Apr 2016
Sally Field gives a career performance, a little bit of the teenager who played Gidget and some of the Norma Rae determination. Michael Showalter who is showing himself to be a better than average director casts comedic actors around Field to support her brilliant performance.
When Doris is finally persuaded to clean up her mother's house and, by extension, her life, Sally Field has the most realistic hoarder breakdown on film in history. I wish I could discuss this film more, but I want to listen to Baby Goya's "Dance Rascal Dance.
