Review of Hello, My Name Is Doris (2015) by Ken A — 31 Mar 2018
New age meets old age with Sally Field and her strong emotions and temper to strive through hardships in the middle. Great new breathe into several timeless tales: What did I loose in life for my parents care? and Can you teach an old dog new tricks? Lots of playful elements like the rave for Sally and tender moments of new found love for an older woman.
The bond is cute with her friends grandkid as well and the relationship with Sally and Tyne is truly touching and so comforting when you see them reconnect at that tough moment in the end. The red scene at the end is rough as well and the end helps things as we are in terror of the what if game.
It pulls together nicely at the end and what a solid little film from nowhere.
