Boring, plodding, relying way too heavily on exposition, and misusing a brilliant cast are just some of the sins that this take on Hellboy commits. The special effects are incredibly uninspired. The script is simultaneously silly, vulgar, profane, and boring.

Its gorey B-movie fodder at best, and lazy gore porn at worst. Avoid this film unless you are morbidly curious or a die hard Hellboy fan.
