Review of Hell or High Water (2016) by Im_So_Meta — 12 Mar 2017

Great film! In the hands of a more insecure directors this could of turned into action schlock, with overblown gun fights and car chases. But the pace of the film (steady but never dull) allows the audience to really get to know and empathize with the main characters, making the story believable and the emotional pay off so much greater.

Although generally serious in tone, there is also actually a fair bit of humor, that had me chuckling from time to time.
