Review of Hell House (2001) by Kyle 4 — 29 Apr 2004
I was not expecting this to be that religious. I just knew it was about people who set up a gigantic haunted house. Gah, not to mention that the director (the guy who ran it, I think) inexplicably has at least 10 minutes of unnecessary footage in there. Did we really need to be introduced to his daughter's boyfriend? No. Did we really need to see his son be 'saved by God' (which might have been staged anyway)? No.
When it was good, it was really good, but it severely lags at some parts. Then again, I might have just found it really interesting because I worked at a haunted house a few years back. Man, that was great. Wish I could say the same for the movie.
