Review of Heckler (2007) by Mike P — 06 Nov 2008
Although halfway through it transitions from being a movie about hecklers and moves onto critics, it transitions smoothly and offers a sufficient reason (comparing critics to hecklers, both be egocentric). Heckler is insightful, giving a glimpse at the effects criticism can have on comedians/actors/and other performers in general. It even delves into how the internet has given everyone a chance to critique or condemn anyone who makes a film. It's a strange feeling critiquing this film on the internet when it goes into how shitty it is that anyone can be a critic on the internet.
This is some M.C. Escher type shit.
