Review of Heckler (2007) by Andrew L — 08 Jan 2009

Documentary from Jamie Kennedy (yeah, I'll get that later) about hecklers in comedy clubs, but then it stretches out and the last half of it goes after critics who write up negative reviews of films and then goes after it's stars.

It's got a ton of people in it and lot of really funny comedians tellingstories and opinions on hecklers and how they act. That part of the documentary was OK. But then Jamie Kennedy goes on this rant against critics who didn't like "Malibu's Most Wanted," and is soooooooo offended that critics thought it was awful.

Not only that, they criticized Jamie Kennedy as well. He sits in front of the critics and actually reads aloud the reviews to them and then wonders why they don't like him. I get his point, but pick a better fuckin' movie then "Malibu's Most Wanted!" Some of the interviews with the comedians were good, but even for a movie that's like 80 minutes, it goes on too long, and Jamie Kennedy is a little full of himself.

I wouldn't go out of my way to see it, but it's entertaining enough to watch.
