Review of Heaven's Gate (1980) by Erik G — 13 Oct 2011
The experience of "Heaven's Gate" is less like that of watching a movie, and more like attending an exstensive reenactment of the Johnson County War. There's plenty to admire in the sets and the cinematograpy, but the plot is weighed down by needless padding, and further anchored by terrible pacing.
