Deepa Mehta scores a home run yet again.... The movie is about a new bride who moves to canada to be with her husband. New land, new people, she looks to her husband for support and guidance, but receives a huge shock when she becomes the victim of domestic violence instead...
Although most of the movie was in Punjabi, it is easy to follow the story and empathize with the girl and what she is going through.
