A great film that went beyond all my expectations. just the premise of a marine and a nun on a lone island is worth looking into. but when the "japs" come and bomb the shit out of the island and later comes ashore , Allison must sneak into their camp and steal food so the nun can eat.
it is kind of a love story without love. Mitchum`s character is smitten by the nun, so it`s kind of a tale about forbidden love. but there is suspense to behold to. just watch it and find out for yourselves.
