Review of Hearts in Atlantis (2001) by Peter P — 17 Mar 2011
I will say this for Steven King, when they get his stuff right for film, it has a whimsical somber tone better then any other. That is what comes across most in Hearts In Atlantis, is the feeling it generates.
Part of this is the story, but in this case it is also due to the stellar performances of Anthony Hopkins and Anton Yelchin, which are just perfect together. The only real downside is that this movie made me dislike Hope Davis all the more, although she played her part well she just annoys me for some reason, but other then that, it is a great movie.
