Review of Heartless (2010) by Iain G — 08 Jun 2010
My initial reaction after watching it was so-so, but the more I think about it the more I like it. Mainly because I didn't agree with the character's decisions as his motives are obviously flawed and so I was never really behind him and as the story unfolds there's many a "I told you so" moments that arise.
The mix of horror, art driven direction and as Alistair Harkness describes it; "British kitchen-sink realism" make for a gripping film that's worth seeing.
