This is a movie with a goofy concept told in an overly serious and sentimental manner with silly plot twists and nonsensical happenings. With that run-on sentence out of the way, I can honestly say I didn't like this movie at all for the reasons I mentioned.

The concept is intriguing, at best, but the movie, as mentioned, takes itself too seriously. Especially when the dialogue is really corny at best, this is most apparent during Tia and Jamie's scenes with each other.

The sentimental stuff through the movie wasn't very good either. Though I did very much enjoy Eddie Marsan's extended cameo as the Weapons Man, this was the highlight of the film and it was the only scene in the film that actually had a sense of humor.

The movie also has some subplots that simply don't add anything to the film. There are some subplots that are alluded early on in the film and then you're expected to remember them by the end of the film, despite not being important or relevant for the majority of the film itself.

And the special effects for the film were outright awful as well. The plot twists also weren't that great either. And it's not that I didn't get what the movie was trying to do, it wasn't confusing at all to figure out.

The movie's pretty clear-cut, it's easy to figure out what the story is. But the movie simply doesn't work other at all other than Eddie Marsan's scene. An incredibly underwhelming movie that had a very intriguing concept.
