Review of He Was a Quiet Man (2007) by David B — 09 Nov 2008

On the face of it, this is my kinda film. Unfortunately it was a let down.

There's nothing to fault on the technical/film-making side, the photography's great and acting spotless, it's just the human "saying something" side which is lacking.

I really couldn't figure out what this film was trying to say -if anything at all- I did feel that it could have gone so many ways, but the writer just chose the easy way out, which made this film a minor success.

Shame, Slater's acting and makeup are awesome!
