Review of He Got Game (1998) by Greg I — 14 Feb 2009
Mostly a critique of how the black male athlete is used and abused in a mostly white world. Oddly, none of the actors seem to "fit" their roles particularly well, even the role of Jesus, played by a real-life pro baller.
The Copland soundtrack completely overpowers the subject matter and is a poor match. Denzel as a wifebeater? Please.
