This is one of those "Hero gets double crossed, then hunts down the bad guys one-by-one and makes them pay" stories. You know it well because it has been rehashed a million times. However, it's rehashed very well here.
Gina Carano's deap-pan acting leaves a lot to be desired, but what she lacks in emotion, she makes up for in beauty and physicality. The MMA fighter-turned-actress has undeniable potential as a burgeoning female action star. Hopefully this a sign of good things to come!
