Review of Mr. Moto in Danger Island (1939) by Orlok W — 19 May 2012

Mr. Moto is a fascinating character being a prewar Japanese spy or private investigator. It is really uncertain about Mr. Moto, but Peter Lorre does a convincing job of playing him. The problem with the film is that I is almost comedic and I should be more mysterious, so instead of getting the Maltese Falcon you get the Three Stooges.

The direction of this film just went the wrong way.
