Review of Häxan (1922) by Jonathan P — 06 Jan 2011
The costumes and make-up for its time (and even by today's standards) are amazing. This somewhat accurate documentary/dramatized events is one that needs to be seen by anyone who wants to enjoys a good documentary.
The fact is that some of the things that are displayed in Haxan are so controversial (even by today's standards) it amazes me that it was allowed to see the light of day. The only downfall is that some of the scenes tend to drag a bit and the influx of information becomes to heavy for the viewer to keep himself interested in the documentary side of the film.
