One of the better silent movies I've seen. The effects actually aren't too shabby...many of the scenes (containing what I believe is unintended humor nowdays) actually convey the storyline without need of subtitles, though even the subtitles are well worth following.
I'd never heard of it until today (watching it on TCM), and I must say...it's almost bewitched me...
