Review of Hated: GG Allin and The Murder Junkies (1993) by Adam G — 26 Apr 2008
A perfect portrait of punk rock at it's climax, with the one and only gg allin: punk's number one shock-rocker. the power of the filmmaking is it's objectivity. even though the filmmaker is enamored with his subject, the argument becomes something that is no longer defined in black and white; it is a question of freedom, artistic expression, and lifestyle.
not for the squeemish, this doc is full of nudity, defecation and violence. it's pretty enthralling.
