Review of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) by Ryan A — 17 Jan 2014
This is a great movie. Overall, nearly flawless.....
The movie opens up with Harry Potter(Daniel Radcliffe) teasing his cousin Dudley(Dunno who that's played by, but whoever did did a great job)Dudley replies scathingly that Harry always moans on his sleep. It's true, but Harry has a good reason to moan; in his dreams, he kept revisiting the graveyard in which Lord Voldemort(Ralph Fiennes)had returned, and Harry had been tortured and very nearly killed.
But let's get to the good parts: Harry and Dudley are attacked by dementors, so Harry has to do illegal magic. He soon receives a letter from the Ministry of Magic that says he's expelled. But when a group of wizards come to rescue Harry from the Dursleys, they tell him that Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) has persuaded the Ministry to "suspend your explosion pending a former hearing".
But the thought of the hearing was wiped from Harry's mind by the fun broom ride. When reunited with his best friends Ron Weasley(Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), Harry expresses his anger at the lack of news that summer.
But then Fred and George(Oliver and James Phelps), Ron's twins brothers, offer a way to eavesdrop on the meeting that's going on, so Harry subsides. But Fred and George's latest invention, extendable ears, get saga togged by Hermione's cat, Crookshanks, bits off the ear.
