Review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011) by Magnus G — 21 Sep 2014

After a middling part 1, Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes in providing a very satisfying climax to the Harry Potter franchise. The stakes are raised to the max here and makes you guess who will bite the dust.

The emotionally invested drama juxtaposed with some spellbinding action will exhilarate you, making this worth sitting through seven previous films to get to this. There's cool twists and turns in the story which change your perception of the overarching narrative and the franchise as a whole.

There are some problems with the film with some character deaths being overlooked and just glanced over whilst some parts of the film do feel like they could've gotten more focus to make the story more compelling.

Nevertheless, Potter fans ought to be in heaven with this film. Only my second favourite behind Prisoner of Azkaban.
