Great artistic romantic comedy. this film is about a young man.

Struggling to find his place in the world. his idea of entertainment.

Comes from going to strange people's funerals. but at home he spends.

His time faking suicide attempts over and over again. the reaction of.

His mother is hilarious to say the least. one day he comes across and.

Old lady who also likes to attend various funerals. they find out that.

They have much in common, and that they are both completely crazy. soon.

The relationship evolves romantically, but you never see very intimate.

Scenes. the director(Hal Ashby) wanted to shoot a love scene, but.

Paramount executives refused this idea. I always want to see the.

Directors vision regarding any movie, and I hate studio bosses.

Interfering with his or hers vision. but I got to say in this case i.

Kind of agree with the execs. I really don't need to see an 80 year old.

Woman sleeping with someone in their pre or early 20's. if it is.

Important the story, sure. in this case it strictly was not necessary.

For the plot development or the character development for that matter.

All in all this is a wonderful film celebrating life and the freedom to.

Go crazy.
