Review of Hard Candy (2005) by Sarfaraz A — 14 Feb 2012

This is such a disturbing film, which exploits the plot to maximum degree, I must put it this way that this has been the character of Ellen Page that made me hate her forever, and this is why I have never watched film 'Juno' which had received tsunami of positive reviews (however, I'm still reconsidering this urge). Film is filled with harsh conditions suffered by victim (a fashion photographer who targets children), at the hands of a teenage girl played by Ellen Page. It is bizarre in its plot layout. Screenplay of the film is written in total blindness to bring as much hatred from audience toward character played by Ellen Page, as possible.

I simply hate movies like this, which lets the wickedness win over natural simplicity of character-turns-out-to-be-inflicter-of-pain!
