Review of Hard Boiled (1992) by Aren B — 04 Jan 2009
John Woo's action extravaganza is as influential as it is ridiculous. Hardly interested in plot, the story merely acts as a vehicle to escalate the preposterously intense gun-battles from one location to another.
The action sequences are so well choreographed and so well done, that regardless of the other components of the film, "Hard Boiled" should hailed as a staple in action cinema and the film largely responsible for other action classics like "The Matrix".
