Review of Harakiri (1962) by Ieda M — 15 Jul 2008
There's a reason why Tarantino combined samurai movies and spaghetti westerns in Kill Bill. The windy duel scene from Harakiri is just like watching Charles Bronson and Henry Fonda. It's amazingly simple, practically minimal and magnificently done at the same time.
You just know this is one of those cinematic moments that you will remember forever. Also, you can never go too wrong with a revenge classic.
