Review of Happythankyoumoreplease (2011) by Benedikt F — 29 Oct 2011
The film's heart is in the right place, but time and time again it simply stretches the believabilty of it's characters too far. It's a film you wanna like, but ultimately you just can't take it seriously.
I'm glad for Tony Hale that for once he's not just a carricature, but his comedic talents are not really utilized here.
What you can take away from the film is the naive but sweet sentiment, that you should be grateful while feeling entitled to happiness.
Thank you, but no more, please.
