Review of Happythankyoumoreplease (2011) by Tiffany G — 17 Aug 2012
I still think this movie is pretty great. It's not fantabulously mind-blowing nor is it something different, but it's refreshing to see what Josh Radnor's perspective is. A filmmaker like him tells stories of people.
He doesn't tell stories about heroes nor does he favor stunts and parkour. He basically takes ordinary lives and weaves them into pastiche stories that creates a homey, more relatable feel. And yes, he was right about life.
You see life as the way you want to see it. Not all films have to be depressing or melancholy to be great.
