Review of Hansel & Gretel (2007) by Ruthie R — 09 May 2012
A young guy with family problems gets lost in a very dense, oppressive forest. He find shelter in a very colourful house with kitschy furniture owned by a family of five: two parents, two teen-agers, one little girl. They have no phone, do not seem to work nor ever leave the house to buy groceries, and the protagonist quickly realises that they try to keep him in the house with them. He tries to flee the house but al the paths seem to be circular and to lead back to the house.
Very enjoyable modern weird fantasy.
