Review of Hannibal Rising (2007) by Reid K — 11 May 2009
Very disturbing and graphic prequel into the beginning of Hannibal Lecter's psychotic roots. It was nice to see that Hannibal wasn't born evil but became depraved after he lost his family. I found his relationships with his aunt a bit strange at times while recognizing that he may have gone off the deep end much sooner had she not been in his life.
Rhys Ifans was brilliant as the villain...or I should say, one of the villains...
