Review of Hannibal Rising (2007) by Harvey E — 26 May 2009
I applaud the filmmakers for being able to pull off an origin film of Dr. Hannibal Lecter that to me, made sense and kept the spirit of the last two films. Gaspard Ulliel did a great job of playing a young Hannibal.
I had no doubt in my mind that his character would age into the Anthony Hopkins persona. Li Gong does a wonderful job as his aunt and mentor. The storyline is tragic and foreboding.
