Review of Hannibal Rising (2007) by Jay B — 19 Jun 2016

This origin story is interesting enough, but feels incredibly unnecessary. Sure it's fun to see Lector taking his bizarre form of revenge out on Nazi after Nazi, but this story could have played as a prologue just as successfully. Some of the kills are kind of cool, but it's hard not to miss Hopkins throughout.

UPDATE: Second viewing was much more satisfying. Savage and elegant.
