Review of Hannibal Rising (2007) by Alex C — 18 Nov 2011

This is a good movie about how serial killer Hannibal Lecter became the monster everyone knows him for. He loses his family during World War 2 at a young age in Lithuania. His surviving little sister is killed and eaten by Russian soldier deserters for survival, he grows up killing and avenging his sisters murder with the help of his surviving aunt who is Japanese living in France.

She is a descendant of a long line of Samurai warriors and teaches him how to fight with the katana. Hannibal learns the way of the Samurai and respects the teachings. He uses this knowledge to be a stealthy killer.
