Review of Hannibal Rising (2007) by Brett H — 14 Aug 2014

Horridly stale and lifeless origin story of one of the greatest cinematic villains to grace the screen. The actor they chose to play young Hannibal is a fucking joke and is the farthest thing from giving a worthy performance.

The film is also painfully dull and clocking in at just under two hours is the real menace here. The event that starts his rampage in the beginning is insanely disturbing and there is one good kill with a knife, but this is a film that simply did not need to happen.
