Hannibal Rising is a much better film than most of the critics say. Gaspard Ulliel was at least I think Perfectly cast as the Young Hannibal while a few of the characters may have been slightly misplaced and Hannibal may have skipped around from place to place a little to much its still a pretty enjoyable film with a solid performance from the french actor Gaspard Ulliel.
While Hannibal Rising may be a origin story its also a story of Hannibal obtaining his revenge against *spoiler alert* the men who cannibalized his sister out of survival also Hannibal took some of his sister to.
*end of spoilers* so while the movie may be flawed its still a movie I would recommend although it would be near the bottom of my list. all said and done Hannibal Rising is a fresh and new way to look at the character of Hannibal Lector.
