Review of Hannibal (2001) by Lucas Y — 01 May 2011
Don't know why this got slammed by critics so badly, but I thought Hannibal was awesome. Anthony Hopkins is great reprising his role. Julianna Moore is fine, but it would've been much better had Jodie Foster come back.
Mason Verger is a great new character, played well by Gary Oldman. Ridley Scotts direction is beautiful. The Florence scenes are awesome, especially the hanging. Was this as good as Silence? Probably not, but it's still pretty solid.
