Review of Hang 'em High (1968) by Mike B — 28 Aug 2012
A very, very smart Western. You can tell this is Americans learning from Italian Westerns, which brings a very fresh, interesting and thought-provoking revival to the classic genre. A revenge tale that's a little heavy handed (especially the soundtrack) but Clint Eastwood's performance is as solid as his others and I really liked how the film asked some interesting questions about justice, the law and what is "right.
".
