Review of Hang 'em High (1968) by Chris W — 18 Jul 2013
Clint Eastwood returns in the Western world as US Marshal Jed Cooper who takes revenge on a group of people who tried to hang for false accusation. The direction is pretty damn good, but some of it is quiet problematic.
The film is pretty predictable and it is quite cliched a times. That doesn't mean that this is a bad movie or anything. It is definitely not one of Clint Eastwood's best films, but it is a pretty decent one.
It is not as great as the legendary Dollars/Man with no Name trilogy, but it is still a decent Western flick. By all means go check it out, but if you want pulse pounding, intensifying unexpected moments.
....you won't find it in here. You will definitely find ALL of that in the Dollars trilogy, but if you just want to have a classy good western time, this is for you.
