Review of Hamlet 2 (2008) by Karen D — 31 Jul 2009
I want to give it more stars, but it's indie quirkiness wasn't enough to keep my full interest. I like Steve Coogan. I like indie films. I like oddball humor. But this film seemed to be rushed and haphazardly thrown together.
It does eventually come together in the end, but I guess I had higher expectations coming into the film. Catherine Keener was, as always, strong. Nice to see Elizabeth Shue laugh at herself. I'm glad I watched it, but I am bummed that it wasn't all I expected.
Perhaps a second viewing is needed...
